"Mark Beer is a renowned actor who has been in the entertainment industry for more than 40 years. His resume includes an impressive list of firsts; he was the first disabled children’s presenter on BBC1’s ‘Playdays’, the first disabled actor to play a leading role in a TV drama series, ‘Specials’ and a starring role in the first gay disabled love story on UK television, ‘Double the Trouble but Twice the Fun’ for Channel 4. But as a disabled actor, Mark knows better than most how difficult it is to land a role, particularly one that doesn’t specifically call for an actor with disabilities."
"Surely Wilde would have adored this production by Dramaiocht Productions which seeks to give opportunities to those who have not had a platform to speak from, regardless of disability, race or gender."
